EAST STROUDSBURG - Junior opposite Chris Holden recorded a triple double as East Stroudsburg University defeated Mount Olive in five sets on Sunday afternoon at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Holden posted 14 kills on 40 attempts and added 11 digs with 11 block assists to complete his triple double. Senior Jon Daley tallied 17 kills on 30 attempts, had 10 block assists and combined with Holden for a block on the final point of the match.

The Warriors (7-7) claimed their second five-set victory over Mount Olive (11-8) in the last eight days after rallying from a 2-0 deficit last Saturday. The game scores on Sunday were 25-30, 30-26, 15-30, 30-26, 16-14.

Sophomore Josh Hobson handled 50 assists to lead the attack and sophomore Drew Dvorsky had a team-high 14 digs. Sophomore Michael Semeraro contributed nine kills and the Warriors had nine service aces, led by three from junior Eli Porr.

The Trojans had four players hit in double figures in kills - Jose Lanier (17), Pedro Penate (12), Christiaan Rombaut (11), Noel Garcia (10). Alex Hoekstra directed the attack with 44 assists.

ESU has won three straight matches to even its season record at 7-7 going into Tuesday's non-conference match-up with NJIT at 7 p.m. at Koehler Fieldhouse. The Warriors and Highlanders have met twice already this year, with NJIT winning both matches in January.
