FAIRFIELD, Conn. - East Stroudsburg University won the first two sets, then rallied to beat Sacred Heart 15-11 in the fifth set for its first EIVA Hay Division victory of the season on Sunday afternoon.

Junior opposite Chris Holden (19 kills, 10 digs) and senior outside hitter Jon Daley (14 kills, 10 digs) both had double-doubles for ESU and freshman setter Levi Kauffman handed out 58 assists and had eight digs. Sophomore outside hitter Eli Porr added 11 kills and six digs.

The Warriors (3-5, 1-3) had six more digs and four more blocks than Sacred Heart with seniors R.J. Roth and Jeff Quinn leading the defensive effort. Roth had 15 digs, while Quinn had 10 blocks, including seven solo blocks. Daley was also in on five of ESU's 18 blocks in the match.

ESU won the first two sets, 30-26 and 33-31, before Sacred Heart (7-5, 0-2) took the next two, 30-21 and 30-28. The Warriors won the final set by hitting .294 with seven kills and just two errors, while the Pioneers hit -.053 and made seven errors on 19 attacks.

Kalani Efstathiou led Sacred Heart with 32 kills and hit .448, but ESU held the rest of the team to a .140 attack percentage.

The Warriors are off until Monday, March 2 when they host NYU at 7 p.m.
