NEW YORK - Devin Zolonowski had 23 kills and led New York University to a five-set win over East Stroudsburg University in EIVA Hay Division volleyball action on Thursday night.

Senior outside hitter Jon Daley led the Warriors with 19 kills and eight blocks, junior Chris Holden and sophomore Don Hanna had 12 each and sophomore setter Josh Hobson recorded 60 assists. Senior Kyle Duffy also had nine kills for the Warriors attack.

ESU (8-8, 1-5) won the first and fourth games by three points, 30-27, sandwiched around a pair of 30-20 wins by NYU (7-19, 3-3). The Violets won the deciding game 15-12 to end ESU's four-match winning streak.

Patrick Dodds (10 kills, five aces) and Francis Hodgson (10 kills, three aces) also had strong matches for NYU, which held a .298 to .236 advantage in attack percentage and had 13 aces. NYU hit .609 and .455 in the second and third games, then held on in the final set.

ESU travels to Hempfield High School in Lancaster to take on Juniata next Wednesday at 7 p.m.
