EAST STROUDSBURG - NYU posted a 35-33 win in the pivotal third game, and went on to defeat East Stroudsburg University in four games in non-conference men's volleyball action on Wednesday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.

ESU won the first game 30-27, but NYU came back with a 30-27 win in the second game before outlasting the Warriors in the third. NYU won the fourth game 30-19.

Devin Zolnowski led NYU with 24 kills and Jon Wintermeyer added 15 kills and 4.5 blocks. Ilan Goldstein directed the Violets attack with 43 assists and also contributed 11 digs.

For ESU, Chris Holden and Kyle Duffy both had 10 kills and setter John Post had 37 assists, six digs and five block assists. Junior libero R.J. Roth had 18 digs.

The Warriors will return to action on Tuesday, Feb. 5 when they host NJIT in their EIVA opener at 7 p.m.
