NEWARK, N.J. - Leonardo Paludo and Eduardo Welter combined for 31 kills and NJIT outlasted the Warriors 35-33 for the decisive victory in game three in an EIVA Tait match on Wednesday night.

Freshman Don Hanna led ESU with a career-high 11 kills and Chris Holden and Jesse Landis contributed nine and eight kills, respectively. Libero R.J. Roth led the defense with 10 digs.

Welter and Greg Wagner (nine kills) both hit over .400 for the Highlanders, who had a .321 attack percentage and 10 blocks in the match.

NJIT won the first two games by a 30-24 score and improves to 7-5 on the season (2-4 EIVA Tait).

The Warriors will travel to Penn State to play the Nittany Lions on Friday night, and head to Lancaster to take on George Mason at Hempfield High School on Sunday.
