EAST STROUDSBURG - All-American Matt Anderson had 13 kills to lead No. 2 Penn State to a 3-0 win over East Stroudsburg University on Wednesday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.

The Warriors pushed the Nittany Lions deep into the first game and were within 20-18 before Penn State finished strong and posted a 30-21 win. The final two game scores were 30-19 and 30-20.

Chris Holden and Don Hanna both had six kills for ESU and setter John Post recorded 20 assists and two kills. Libero R.J. Roth had five digs and freshman Brian Geslak led the effort at the net with three blocks.

Anderson, Max Lipsitz (8 kills) and Max Holt (7 kills) helped the Nittany Lions post a .400 attack percentage for the match. Holt had five of the team's 10 service aces.

ESU will return to the court this weekend with matches at Juniata on Friday and Ball State on Saturday.
