EAST STROUDSBURG - Junior Paul Wagner is this week's ABC Trophy, Inc. Athlete of the Week at East Stroudsburg University after breaking his own school record in the weight throw on Friday at Kutztown's Golden Bear Invitational.

Wagner (Titusville, N.J./Hopewell Valley) has set the school record in three straight meets going back to the 2008 PSAC indoor championships which earned him the conference's men's field athlete of the meet.

His throw of 60-7 1/2 on Friday broke his previous mark of 58-8 1/2 that he recorded at the Lafayette Invitational in December. He won the weight throw and was third in the shot put (48-6 1/2) at Kutztown.

ABC Trophy, Inc. awards an athlete of the week to an outstanding student-athlete each week at ESU. Each recipient is presented with a red and silver plaque.
