EAST STROUDSBURG - Trina Carito and Drew Miller both won individual titles in the triple jump, the ESU men combined to set four school records on the track and finished third, and the women placed fifth as the Warriors wrapped up an outstanding weekend at the PSAC Indoor Track & Field Championships at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Carito jumped 37-5 3/4 to win the women's title, and Miller reached the NCAA provisional qualifying standard with a mark of 48-2 to claim the men's crown. They add their names to the three Warriors who won championships on Saturday - Kenny Cardullo (pentathlon), Matt Gallup (pole vault) and Paul Wagner (weight throw).

Rusty Smith headlined the school record performances with at time of 7.51 seconds in the 55m hurdles, which converts to an NCAA automatic qualifying time in the 60m hurdles and is the seventh fastest in Division II this year. Smith finished second to Jarret Eaton of West Chester, who lowered his national-best time to 7.31 seconds.

Wagner was named the Men's Field Athlete of the Meet for his performance on Saturday. Bradley Rager (California) was named the outstanding track athlete and shared MVP honors with Jamal James (Shippensburg) and Chris Cummings (Mansfield).

Slippery Rock edged Shippensburg for the men's title, 116.5 to 113 points, and ESU was third with 100 points. The Warriors were also third last season when they scored 82 points.

West Chester's Danielle Scardino was the women's track athlete and was co-MVP with Mary Dell of Shippensburg. Slippery Rock pole vaulter Jennifer Hansen was the outstanding field athlete.

Slippery Rock and Shippensburg shared the team title with 110 points, with Lock Haven placing third with 92 points. Kutztown (66), ESU (65) and Millersville (63) were all closely grouped in the battle for fourth.

Senior Iuri Pinto, the defending PSAC champion in both the indoor and outdoor mile, finished second to Cummings with a time of 4:13.59. Pinto is a provisional qualifier and is still in line for a trip to Mankato, Minn. on March 14-15 when the bids are announced early this week.

Andrew McCloskey clocked a time of 22.36 to set a new ESU record in the 200m dash and was third in the event. He held the previous mark of 22.39 which he set earlier this year. McCloskey was sixth in the 55m dash in 6.60 seconds.

Ed Kiser and Chris Reddick both broke the school record in the 400m dash, with Kiser finishing just ahead of Reddick in third place in 49.49 seconds.

Kiser and Reddick also teamed with Tony Prudente and Greg Pammer to lower the school record in the 4x400 relay to 3:20.77 and finished third in the field.

The women's 4x400 team of Jasmine Johnson, Leslie Martin, Carito and Katherine Doyle was also third in 3:58.51.

Doyle made the finals in both the 55m and 200m dash. She was third in the 55 in 7.34 seconds, and fourth in the 200 in 26.21.

ESU had three women place in the high jump, along with Ryan Kramer who tied for third in the men's event. Lynn Mayer and Janelle Smith both cleared 5-7 1/4 to reach the provisional qualifying mark and were third and fourth respectively. Carito tied for sixth with a mark of 5-3 1/4.

Steph Weber (pole vault - 5th, 10-6), Niki Pasquarella (3000 - 7th, 10:32.45), Jasmine Johnson (400 - 8th, 59.25) and Emily Carothers (shot put - 8th, 38-2 1/4) also scored for the ESU women.
