PHILADELPHIA - Sophomore Paul Wagner threw a personal best in the hammer and was six inches off the East Stroudsburg University record on Saturday in the Penn Relays at Franklin Field.

Wagner's mark of 175-11 was good for 13th in the event and nearly matched the school record of 176-5 set by Scott Weiser in 1996.

Sophomore Kenny Cardullo threw 180-11 to finish 10th in the men's college javelin. Sophomore Drew Miller placed 15th in the men's college eastern triple jump with a mark of 45-5.

On Thursday, freshman Lynn Mayer won the women's college eastern high jump with a height of 5-8 and senior Iuri Pinto set the school record in the 5000m in 14:37.23.

The men's 4x200 relay team of sophomores Ed Kiser, Chris Reddick and Andrew McCloskey and freshman Greg Pammer ran the second-fastest time in school history in 1:27.93 on Friday.
