EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University sophomore Matt Gallup has been named the PSAC Men's Co-Field Athlete of the Week following his school record-setting performance in the pole vault at the Bison Outdoor Classic at Bucknell last weekend.

Gallup (Harrisburg/Central Dauphin) cleared 16-2 3/4 to win the event by nearly a foot and surpass the previous school record of 15-10 set by Matt Faust in 1990.

Gallup earned the PSAC indoor championship in March at Koehler Fieldhouse with a height of 15-5, and set ESU's indoor record of 15-9 at the John Covert Classic at Lehigh.

He shares the PSAC weekly award with Shippensburg's Leander Toney, who won the high jump at Bucknell with a height of 7-0 1/4.

ESU hosts 12 other schools that will compete in the third annual All-American Meet on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
