PHILADELPHIA - East Stroudsburg University won a pair of tennis matches at Chestnut Hill on Sunday, with the women posting a 9-0 shutout and the men earning an 8-1 victory.

Senior Sarah Deisher, junior Marissa Tanner and freshman Angela Teri all won their singles and doubles matches for the ESU women, and sophomores Katie D'Ambrosia and Jamie Ferrigno and freshman Amanda Kaufman also contributed to the victory.

The Warriors' women's team will travel to Kutztown for the first round of the PSAC championships on Tuesday.

In the men's match-up, ESU won three hard-fought doubles matches and got a three-set win from senior Rob Mikolon at third singles to come away with the win. Mikolon and sophomore Zach Ontell won 9-7 at No. 2 doubles, sophomore Will Norris and freshman Mark Covert had an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles and freshmen Andrew Makos and Dalton Barton were 8-3 winners at No. 3.

Norris (No. 1), Covert (No. 2), Makos (No. 5) and Barton (No. 6) all added singles victories in addition to Mikolon's 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 win.

The men's team wraps up its season with an 8-10 record, going 2-1 in the fall and 6-9 in dual matches this spring.
