EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University men's soccer standouts Wes Gayle and Roy Thompson have been named first-team All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, the league announced Tuesday. In addition, junior defender Ryan Love was named to the second team.
Gayle (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica/Munro College), a midfielder, was named All-PSAC in all four of his years at ESU. He was a first-team member as a freshman and was on the second team the past two seasons. Gayle led the team with 10 goals and also added two assist for a team-best 22 points.
Thompson (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica/Munro College), a forward, is making his first appearance on the All-PSAC team. He was second on the team in goals with eight and also had two assists for the Warriors who finished the season 11-8-1.
Love (Dallas/Dallas) started 18 games this season and was one of the most consistent defenders for veteran coach Jerry Sheska.
