EAST STROUDSBURG - Junior Roshane Ellison scored two goals as East Stroudsburg University won its 12th straight match with a 4-0 victory over Shippensburg in PSAC men's soccer on Saturday.

The Warriors improve to 15-1 on the season and 12-1 in the PSAC, and move within one win of tying the school record for consecutive victories. ESU won 13 straight matches en route to the PSAC championship in both 1994 and 1999. The most recent 12-game winning streak came in 2000, when ESU advanced to the NCAA Final Four.

Ellison had a hat trick to lead the Warriors to a 6-0 win at Kutztown on Wednesday, and scored 12 minutes into the match on Saturday for ESU. Junior Jason Shegda added a goal 13 minutes later to give the Warriors a 2-0 lead at the half. Sophomore Toric Robinson assisted on both goals and has a team-leading nine assists this season.

Ellison struck again 2:18 into the second half on an assist from sophomore Danny Drago, and freshman John Velasco notched the final goal of the game for the Warriors with 21 minutes remaining. Senior Dennis Maldonado was credited with the assist.

Sophomore Larry Pokrywa played the first 74 minutes in goal and made seven saves, and was relieved by sophomore Chris Duggan who played the final 16 minutes. Chris Popolizio made seven saves for Shippensburg.

ESU will go for its 13th straight victory against Millersville on Monday at 7 p.m. at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
