EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University sophomore Danny Drago has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District II second team for men's soccer, it was announced Thursday.

Drago (Stroudsburg/Notre Dame) is an undeclared major and had a 3.67 grade-point average in his first year at ESU. He has started all 21 games at back for the Warriors (18-2-1), who will host Lock Haven for the PSAC championship on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

Drago has scored six goals this season, including the game-winning goal in the 82nd minute on Wednesday to give ESU a 1-0 win over West Chester in the PSAC semifinals. He has also added three assists.

He is a member of a defense that has allowed just 15 goals in 21 matches. He also started all 22 games as a freshman and helped the Warriors win their 12th PSAC championship in the last 15 years.
