Joe Heitczman
Joe Heitczman is in his 11th season as an assistant coach under head coach Jerry Sheska, and has helped the Warriors to eight PSAC championships in his time on the sidelines.
A former goalkeeper at ESU, Heitczman logged the most minutes in goal for the Warriors' 1992 PSAC championship team, and was also a member of the 1994 championship team in his final season.
Heitczman came to ESU from Monroe, N.Y. and earned his bachelor's degree in Sport Management in 1996. He is married to the former Vicki Vaites, who was an All-American lacrosse player during her career at ESU. The couple has a son Mason, age four, and a daughter Johanna, age two.
Eric Buksa
Erik Buksa is entering his fifth season as a member of the ESU men's soccer coaching staff.
Buksa was a first team All-PSAC selection during his playing career with the Warriors and was a three-year starter at outside back. He scored four goals and distributed two assists in his career.
His final game came in ESU's Final Four appearance in 2000 when the Warriors played Barry University in Miami, Fla. ESU finished the season with an 18-3 record and was ranked No. 3 in Division II.
Buksa is a high school Health & Physical Education teacher in the East Stroudsburg North School District.
Dan Frick
Dan Frick, the starting goalkeeper on ESU's 2006 PSAC championship team, joins the coaching staff for 2007 as a graduate assistant.
Frick posted an 11-2-3 record with five shutouts in goal for the Warriors, allowing just 0.65 goals per game. He was in goal for all 111 minutes of the PSAC championship game against Lock Haven and made five saves in a 1-0 shutout. He had a career goals against average of 0.94 while playing in 45 matches over four years.
A native of Newark, Del., Frick was a third team All-State goalkeeper and led his school to a conference title as a senior. He earned his bachelor's degree in Recreation Management from ESU.
