EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University junior quarterback Jimmy Terwilliger threw for 334 yards and went over the 10,000 yards career passing mark as the Warriors beat Mansfield, 57-20, Saturday at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

Terwilliger became just the sixth quarterback in NCAA history to throw for 10,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards in his career. He has 10,145 yards passing and 1,093 in his 33-game career.

The Warriors racked up 546 yards of total offense and concluded their regular season with an 8-2 mark including a 4-2 record in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern division.

ESU is the No. 3 seed in the NCAA regional rankings. The top six in the playoffs qualify for the playoffs. The official seeds will be announced Sunday on ESPNews. ESU is expected to host Edinboro Saturday at noon.

The Warriors were behind 20-7 in the second quarter before Terwilliger led the ESU rally. He threw for four touchdowns and added to two NCAA Division II records. He threw a touchdown pass in his 33rd consecutive game and also threw for more than 300 yards in his 20th career game.

Evan Prall was the leading receiver with six catches for 209 yards and a score. Tim Strenfel had 79 yards and a touchdown while fullback Anthony Carfagno caught two touchdowns and rushed for another.

Carfagno got the Warriors on the scoreboard first with a six-yard scoring run early in the first quarter.

Mansfield thought scored three straight times on John Hengehold scoring tosses. Tyrone Robinson caught a 71-yard score and Ozzie Mathis caught two six-yard touchdowns.

Carfagno scored on an 11-yard pass with less than two minutes to go before halftime but the extra point was no good. Mark Brubaker cut the lead to 20-17 at halftime when he kicked a 29-yard field goal as time expired in the first half.

Derek Lucas ran for a five-yard touchdown to open the second half and Terwilliger did the rest. He completed a 19-yard scoring pass to Strenfel, hit Prall for a 75-yard score and then found Carfagno for a 20-yard score and a 44-20 advantage.

Lucas scored again, this time from six yards out. LeRyan Dallas closed the scoring with his first touchdown pass of the season, an 11-yard completion from Joe DeLuise.

Hengehold, a freshman, completed 23 of 35 passes for 282 yards. He threw three touchdowns and was interception twice. Poohbear McNeil ran for 128 yards on 31 carries.
