EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University seniors Jimmy Terwilliger and Evan Prall have been chosen to the 2006 Daktronics Division II Football All-Northeast Region first-team. Junior offensive Michael Habel was chosen to the second team.
Prall and Terwilliger were each the top voter-getters at wide receiver and quarterback, respectively, and are now eligible for the Daktronics All-America team. Prall was also chosen to the first team as all-purpose back.
Voting for the team is done by sports information directors and football coaches in the Northeast Region.
Terwilliger threw for 2,966 yards and 35 touchdowns in hi senior season. He completed 222 of 346 passes and threw just seven interceptions. He concluded his career with 14,350 yards passing and tied the NCAA all divisions record with 148 career touchdown passes. He holds a multitude of NCAA Division II records for career passing yards, career touchdown passes.
Prall caught 76 passes in his senior season for 1,174 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also returned 14 kickoffs for 260 yards and 20 punts for 357 yards and two touchdowns. For his career, he set PSAC records for career yards (4,093) and touchdowns (50).
Habel played left tackle and was the only returning starter on the offensive line. He protected Terwilliger's backside and helped the Warriors average 413 yards of total offense per game.
