EAST STROUDSBURG - Former East Stroudsburg University All-American wide receiver Evan Prall has signed a free agent contract with the New York Jets, the team announced on Thursday, June 14.

Prall caught 236 passes and set PSAC records for receiving yards (4,093) and touchdowns (50) in his career at ESU. As a senior, he caught 76 passes for 1,174 yards and 17 touchdowns, and also recorded 617 yards on kick and punt returns. He was named first team All-America at all-purpose back and to the second team at wide receiver.

Prall totaled a school record 88 receptions for 1,766 yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior in 2005 to help ESU to the NCAA Division II Northeast Regional championship for the first time in school history. He was a consensus first team All-America selection at wide receiver.

Prall originally signed a rookie free agent contract with the Arizona Cardinals on May 1 and was waived on May 29. The Jets opened a three-day, five-practice full squad minicamp on Thursday at their practice facility in Hempstead, N.Y.
