EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University senior wide receiver Evan Prall was named to the second team and senior quarterback Jimmy Terwilliger was an honorable mention on the D2football.com All-America team, it was announced Monday.
National champion Grand Valley State had seven selections on the team, including five first-team picks. The D2Football.com All-American team was chosen by the staff of D2Football.com with the input of coaches, sports information directors, and members of the media. The team is comprised of the 100 best players in Division II for 2006.
Prall was a second-team wide out, along with Jacoby Jones of Lane College. Prall was a first-team Associated Press Little All-America and a second-team All-American pick by Daktronics. He caught 76 passes for 1,174 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also returned 14 kickoffs for 260 yards and 20 punts for 357 yards and two touchdowns. For his career, he set PSAC records for career yards (4,093) and touchdowns (50) and ESU records for career receptions, touchdowns and all-purpose yards.
Terwilliger was one of three honorable mention quarterbacks, along with Toby Korrodi of Central Missouri and Josh Stepp of Newberry. Cullen Finnerty of Grand Valley State was the first-team quarterback and Scott Eyster of Delta State was the second-team choice.
Terwilliger, a second-team choice on the AP Little All-America team, concluded a brilliant career at East Stroudsburg by throwing for 2,966 yards and 35 touchdowns in his final season. For his career, he holds NCAA Division II records for yards (14,350) and all-purpose yards (16,064) and tied the NCAA all divisions record with 148 career touchdowns.
