Penn State was the Division I choice while the University of New Hampshire (I-AA) East Stroudsburg (II) and Rowan (III) will also be honored.
The Lambert Cups will be presented Tuesday, February 7 at the Eastern College Football Awards Banquet at the Pegasus Restaurant in the Meadowlands Sports Complex. ESU head coach Denny Douds and Athletic Director Dr. Tom Gioglio are expected to attend the banquet, along with the head coaches from the other schools.
The Warriors finished the season with a school-record 11 wins and advanced to the NCAA Division II semifinals before losing to eventual national champion Grand Valley State. ESU finished 11-3 and won its first-ever NCAA Division II Northeast Regional title. In addition, quarterback Jimmy Terwilliger won the Harlon Hill trophy as the Division II Player of the Year.
