EAST STROUDSBURG - Four East Stroudsburg University football players have been named to the 2005 Northeast Region team selected by Don Hansen's Football Gazette.

Quarterback Jimmy Terwilliger, wide receiver Evan Prall, fullback Anthony Carfagno and punter Ken Parrish were all named to the first-team. The four players were unanimous selections.

Those selected to the first two teams advance to the national ballot from which the Division II Football Gazette All-American team will be selected.

Terwiliger, the Harlon Hill winner as the player of the year in Division II, completed 262 of 424 passes this season for a school and conference record 4,571 yards and 50 touchdowns. This season, he set NCAA records for career 300-yard passing games (22), consecutive games with a touchdown pass (37), yards of career total offense (12,594), career games with 200 yards or more passing (35), season points by a quarterback (324) and career points by quarterback (744). Earlier this season, he became the seventh player in NCAA history to rush for 1,000 yards and pass for 10,000.

Prall, also a junior, set school records for receptions (88), yards (1,766) and touchdowns (23). He scored a touchdown in every game this season and has a streak of 15 straight games with a scoring reception, dating back to last year. He was second in NCAA Division II with 6.3 receptions per game and an average of 126.1 yards per game. For his career, he has 2,919 yards and 33 touchdowns.

Carfagno, a senior, is in Texas preparing for the Cactus Bowl, a Division II showcase. He scored 23 times this season, a new ESU record. He rushed 98 times for 613 yards and 14 touchdowns and caught 53 passes for 684 yards and nine touchdowns. For his career, he has an ESU and PSAC record 86 touchdowns, including 40 on the ground, an ESU record.

Parrish, a senior, punted just 41 times this year, not enough to qualify to be among the NCAA leaders. He averaged 43 yards per kick with a long of 62 yards. He pinned 10 of those kicks inside the opponents' 20-yard line.
