SOUTH BEND, Ind. - East Stroudsburg University quarterback Jimmy Terwilliger now has a display set up in the College Football Hall of Fame in South Bend, Ind.
The information on Terwilliger, the Harlon Hill winner as the player of the year in Division II, will be on display until the end of the 2006 football season and is the "Hall of Champions" section.
The section on Terwilliger includes a head shot of the quarterback as well as a replica of the Harlon Hill trophy. In addition, a partial list of his accomplishments is also on display along with his game-worn jersey.
The College Football Hall of Fame, located at 111 South St. in South Bend and is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Sunday. Hall hours are extended during Notre Dame home football weekends. For more information, contact 1-800-440-FAME.
Gridiron Plaza is the opening to the hall of fame and tours end in the gift shop. In between, you can see college football from every possible angle.
Among those in the 966 inducted into the hall of fame are: USC tailback Marcus Allen; Doc Blanchard from Army; coach Paul "Bear" Bryant; Illinois linebacker Dick Butkus; Penn State tailback John Cappelletti; Syracuse fullback Larry Csonka; Pittsburgh tailback Tony Dorsett; Penn State coach Rip Engle; Notre Dame halfback Paul Gipp and Alabama wide receiver Ozzie Newsome.
