EAST STROUDSBURG - The East Stroudsburg University men's cross country team in ranked second in the East Region and No. 17 in the nation in the latest United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll.
ESU won the Tidewater Fall Classic last weekend in Salisbury, Md. and moved up to second in the regional rankings and into the top 25. The team was ninth in the region for two weeks and was fourth until the victory last week.
Lock Haven is the top team in the East region and ranked 13th nationally. Adams State is the top team in the country, followed by Chico State, Abilene Christian, Grand Valley State and Colorado School of Mines.
The ESU cross country teams will run October 14 at the Plansky Invitational at Williams College in Williamstown, Mass.
