LOCK HAVEN - East Stroudsburg's Vanessa Andes placed ninth while Iuri Pinto and Matt Collins placed 21st and 22nd at the NCAA East Regional Cross Country Meet Saturday.

For the men, Edinboro placed first with 33 points followed by Indiana (98) and Kutztown (105). East Stroudsburg placed sixth with 209 points.

Drew Nesbit placed 37th, James Coomber 63th, Jon Holland 66th, Pat Carr 74th and Anthony Femia 102nd in the 174 person race.

On the women's side, Edinboro also finished first with 59 points followed by Lock Haven (69) and Shippensburg (90). East Stroudsburg finished 13th with 314 points. Jess Chong placed 63th, Jacyln Young 69th, Carol Bullen 84th, Cari-Anne Gerbino 89th, Kelly Brennan 90th and Katie Chawner 109th in the 181-person race.

The top three teams and the top 2 individual runners advanced to the nationals.
