SLIPPERY ROCK - Both the East Stroudsburg University men and women's cross country teams improved on last year's showing at the NCAA Division II East Regional cross country championships. The men finished fourth out of 30 teams while the women placed 10th out of 32 teams.

The men placed two spots higher than their sixth place finish last year, marking their highest finish since 1997. Last year the women placed 13th.

Top finishers for the Warriors included Iuri Pinto at tenth place with a time of 33:21 while Lori Johanson finished 31st in the field with a time of 24:40.
