Fezza, Laraia and Pereira Pace ESU Men's Cross Country to Fourth at NCAA Atlantic Regional

MANSFIELD – Freshmen Frank Fezza and Mike Pereira and sophomore Greg Laraia all placed in the top 25 to earn All-Region honors and Fezza had the third-highest finish by an East Stroudsburg University freshman in school history at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Atlantic Regional, contested at Mansfield University’s Lamb’s Creek course on Saturday.

Fezza Leads ESU Men's Cross Country to Fourth at PSAC Championships

EDINBORO – Freshman Frank Fezza finished 12th to earn All-PSAC honors and led the East Stroudsburg University men’s cross country team to fourth at the 2009 PSAC Championships, the Warriors’ best finish since 1996, on Saturday at Edinboro.

Trexler, Fitzgerald Lead ESU Women to Nevins Invitational Victory

EAST STROUDSBURG – Sophomore Jonna Trexler and freshman Corinne Fitzgerald finished second and third to lead East Stroudsburg University to a five-point margin over Kutztown for the women’s team championship at the 6th Annual Nevins Invitational on Saturday morning.

Warriors Compete at Penn State National Meet at Lock Haven

LOCK HAVEN – The East Stroudsburg University cross country program returned to competition on Friday after a three-week break with a trip to central Pennsylvania to run against several of the region’s top Division I programs. The Penn State National Meet, originally scheduled to be contested in State College, was moved to Lock Haven’s West Branch course due to inclement weather.

EAST STROUDSBURG – Freshman Frank Fezza is this week’s Championship Award Guys Athlete of the Week at East Stroudsburg University after winning the Don Cathcart Invitational and leading the Warriors to the team championship on Saturday in Salisbury, Md.

EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University freshmen Frank Fezza and Rose Mascoli have been named the PSAC Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Athletes of the Week after setting freshmen records for the Warriors at the Don Cathcart Invitational on Saturday.

SALISBURY, Md. – Frank Fezza and Rose Mascoli both set East Stroudburg University freshmen records at the Don Cathcart Invitational and finished first and second, respectively, in their fields to lead the Warriors on Saturday at Winter Place Park.

EAST STROUDSBURG – Freshman Rose Mascoli has been named the Championship Award Guys Athlete of the Week at East Stroudsburg University after leading the Warriors women’s cross country team to the 4K team championship at the Mountaineer Invitational on Saturday at Mansfield.

ESU Women's Cross Country Knocks Off Shippensburg for Mountaineer Invitational Title

MANSFIELD – Freshman Rose Mascoli placed third and senior Niki Pasquarella, sophomore Jonna Trexler and freshman Corinna Fitzgerald were all in the top seven as East Stroudsburg University beat defending PSAC champion Shippensburg to win the Mountaineer Invitational on Saturday at Mansfield.

Warriors Start Strong at Fordham, Van Cortland Park

BRONX, N.Y. – Freshman Frank Fezza and sophomore Greg Laraia finished 10th and 12th overall and led the East Stroudsburg University men’s cross country team to a second-place finish at the season-opening Fordham Ram Invite on Saturday at Van Cortland Park in the Bronx.

ESU Men's Cross Country Picked Sixth, Women 12th in PSAC Poll

EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University's men's cross country team was picked to finish sixth at the 2009 PSAC Championships in late October while the women were selected 12th of the 16 schools in a poll of the conference's coaches, it was announced Friday afternoon.

EAST STROUDSBURG - Freshman Doug Jankowski is the East Stroudsburg University ABC Trophy, Inc. Athlete of the Week after leading the Warriors men's cross country team to eighth place in the Atlantic Region on Saturday at Slippery Rock.

SLIPPERY ROCK - Freshman Doug Jankowski led a tight pack with a time of 33:51 to place 38th as the East Stroudsburg University men's cross country team finished eighth in the NCAA East Region on Saturday at Cooper's Lake.

LOCK HAVEN - Junior Ryan Doyle finished 22nd, just outside of All-PSAC contention, and the rest of the Warriors' top five wasn't far behind as the East Stroudsburg University men's cross country team placed sixth at the PSAC Championships on Saturday at Lock Haven.

STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University alumni Drew Nesbitt broke his own course record by one second and Lindsay Ray of Kutztown won the women's race to highlight the fifth annual Nevins Invitational on Saturday.

Pasquarella, Doyle Lead ESU Cross Country at Leopard Invitational

EASTON - Junior Niki Pasquarella was eight for the Warriors' top individual finish, and juniors Ryan Doyle and Pat Carr led the men's team to fourth in a field that included six Division I schools as the East Stroudsburg University cross country teams competed at the Leopard Invitational on Saturday at Lafayette College.

SLIPPERY ROCK - Freshman Doug Jankowski was 27th to lead the Warriors men to eighth place and junior Niki Pasquarella was 30th for the women as the East Stroudsburg University cross country program competed against a national field at Slippery Rock on Saturday.

SALISBURY, Md. - Freshmen Doug Jankowski and Greg Laria placed third and fifth, respectively, to lead the East Stroudsburg University men's cross country squad to the team championship over host Salisbury University on Saturday at the Don Cathcart Invitational. Junior Niki Pasquarella was fifth for the ESU women, who were fifth overall.

Pinto, Staub Named Senior Athletes of the Year at ESU Athletic Awards Banquet

EAST STROUDSBURG - Cross country and track and field standout Iuri Pinto and PSAC East women's soccer player of the year Brittany Staub were honored as the Senior Athletes of the Year at the East Stroudsburg University Athletic Awards Banquet on Sunday, May 4 at the Shawnee Inn.
