BETHLEHEM - Senior Iuri Pinto placed third to lead the East Stroudsburg University men's cross country team to a third-place finish at the Lehigh Valley Invite on Friday afternoon.

Pinto finished the 8k course in 26:43, placing behind David Chorney of Muhlenberg and Dan McClimon of Lehigh. Matt Frable was 14th for the Warriors, Mitch Slater was 21st, and Chris Zadroga and Matt Cook rounded out the top five.

Niki Pasquarella, Lori Johanson and Amanda Bradbury all turned in top 20 performances for the ESU women, who finished fourth overall. Amy Moratz and Kristine Goemaat also scored for the Warriors.

Lehigh won both the men's and women's race, with Muhlenberg placing second on the men's side and Lafayette finishing second for the women. Division I schools Lafayette and Lehigh and Division III schools DeSales, Moravian and Muhlenberg competed along with ESU.

ESU travels to the Bronx next Saturday for the Fordham Ram Invitational.
