EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University junior forward Channon Easley has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division Player of the Week, it was announced Thursday.
Easley had the sixth double-double of his career with 21 points and 11 rebounds as the Warriors rallied for a thrilling 98-94 double-overtime win at the University of the Sciences. Easley was 10 of 11 from the field and made his only free throw for his career-high 21 points. He also blocked five shots and had a steal as the Warriors improved to 8-2.
This is the second time Easley has been honored by the PSAC. Last week, teammate Josh Wentz was the choice.
ESU will play a pair of PSAC Western Division schools this weekend. Saturday ESU travels to Clarion and then plays at IUP on Sunday. Both games are set for 3 p.m.
