EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University forward Channon Easley (Philadelphia/Friends Central) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division player of the week, the league announced.

Easley had a pair of double-doubles to help the Warriors to a weekend sweep of PSAC Western Division teams. Easley was 8 of 10 from the field for 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in a win against Lock Haven and came back the next day and grabbed 10 rebounds and had 11 points against Shippensburg. For the weekend, he shot 12-19, pulled down 17 rebounds, scored 18 points, had five assists, blocked four shots and made a steal.

ESU beat Lock Haven 83-77 and Shippensburg 54-46. It was the first time ESU beat Shippensburg since 1998-99.

The Warriors are 4-1 and will play Penn State-Harrisburg Friday at 8 p.m. at Koehler Fieldhouse in the 42nd annual Pania-Soloway Rotary Pocono Classic.
