EAST STROUDSBURG - Senior forward Channon Easley had 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead East Stroudsburg University to its 13th straight victory with a 72-46 win over Bloomsburg on Wednesday at Koehler Fieldhouse.

The winning streak is the second longest in school history. The Warriors will have an opportunity to tie the school record of 14 straight wins during the 1940-41 season when they host West Chester in a PSAC East match-up on Saturday at 3 p.m.

The double-double is the second straight and the fifth in the last 10 games for Easley, who also had a career-high five steals. Senior forward Josh Wentz had seven points and six rebounds and helped ESU hold Bloomsburg forward Nick Jones to six points, 11 below his season average.

Sophomore guard Andy Heimbach added 16 points for ESU and junior forward Aaron Pinckney filled up the box score with six points, six rebounds and six assists.

ESU scored the first nine points of the game and held an 18-3 lead eight minutes into the first half following a three-pointer by Wentz. The Warriors led 34-20 at halftime, and had a 12-3 run to start the second half to blow the game open.

ESU held Bloomsburg to a 27.1 percent night from the field (16-59) and a 3-for-22 performance from the three-point line.

The Warriors shot 50 percent from the field for the fourth time in the last five games and held a 47-33 advantage on the glass.

Easley has scored 967 points in his four-year career at ESU and is 33 points away from becoming the 21st 1,000-point scorer in school history. He is sixth in the record books with 637 career rebounds and second with 179 blocked shots.
