CHEYNEY - Edwin Braswell led all five starters in double figures with 17 points as Cheyney improved to 7-1 in the PSAC East with an 82-60 win over East Stroudsburg University on Thursday night.

Dawud Morris added 16 points and Dominique Curry was 6-of-6 from the field and had 13 points and eight rebounds for the Wolves, who have won all seven of their conference games since falling 88-85 in double overtime at ESU on Jan. 16.

Dawud Lyons led ESU with 14 points and averaged 17.0 points in three games against Cheyney this season, including a career-high 19 points in the second game of the season at the Bowie State Classic.

Josh Wentz scored 12 points and Channon Easley and Josh Wentz both had 11 for the Warriors. ESU falls to 14-8 overall and 2-5 in the PSAC East, and will look to get back in the postseason picture on Saturday at West Chester.

Cheyney opened a 20-point lead midway through the opening half with an 11-1 run, and maintained at least a 14-point advantage the rest of the way.

Braswell helped the Wolves pull away from a 41-25 halftime lead with three three-pointers in the first eight minutes of the half and had 12 of his 17 points after the break.

Cheyney shot 57 percent (31-54) from the field and 9-of-22 from the three-point line. ESU shot 48 percent in the second half after a 35 percent effort in the first 20 minutes.
