Justin Potts enters his sixth season as the top assistant coach at East Stroudsburg University. Potts has served alongside Jeff Wilson since Wilson was named head coach prior to the 2002-03 season. He has been ESU's recruiting coordinator since arriving on campus and has been instrumental in helping the Warriors return to the top of the PSAC East standings. ESU has made back-to-back playoff appearances in 2005-06 and 2006-07 for the first time in more than a decade.
In addition to his duties as recruiting coordinator, Potts assists with player development and scouting. He has coached All-PSAC East selections Rich Baker, Anthony Ross, Danny Hargrove and Darron Bradley and also serves as the co-director of Warrior Basketball camps.
Prior to joining Wilson on the sidelines at ESU, Potts served as an assistant coach at Moravian College, his alma mater, where his responsibilities included recruiting and summer camps.
Potts graduated from Moravian in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in English, and earned his master's degree in Exercise Science from ESU this summer. Potts resides in Bethlehem, Pa.
"Coach Potts has been a major contributor to the turnaround of the ESU basketball program. His efforts in recruiting have helped to upgrade the talent level of the program during the five seasons he has been an assistant. In addition, his basketball knowledge and teaching ability have helped develop the players in our program, including four all-league players," Wilson said.

He was a star performer during his career at Bloomsburg University before graduating in 2001, and also played professionally. While at Bloomsburg, he scored 1,354 points, 10th on the all–time scoring list for the Huskies, and is second in assists and third in steals on the school's career list. He gained All–PSAC East first–team honors as a senior with 15.4 points per game and a 42.2 three–point percentage.
Following his career at Bloomsburg, he played a year of professional basketball overseas in Belgium before spending a season as an assistant coach for Bloomsburg.
Munford came to East Stroudsburg as the graduate assistant and earned his Master's degree in Exercise Science.
DJ Black
DJ Black joins the Warriors staff following a career at Penn State University. He is pursuing a master's degree in exercise science.
Black led Penn State Altoona to the first AMCC playoff win in school history before finishing his career as a walk–on at Penn State, where he helped the Nittany Lions reach the post–season NIT.
After earning a degree in Health and Physical Education from Penn State, Black stayed on staff as the assistant video coordinator where he created scouting tapes and assisted with the setup for recruiting visits.
Black is a graduate of Karns City (PA) High School, where he led the Gremlins to conference championships in football, basketball and track as a senior.
"DJ will provide us with an added dimension in the area of computer editing and video. I am excited about the knowledge he brings in all areas coming from a high Division I program at Penn State University."
Justin Scott
Justin Scott is a member of the ESU coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach after completing a four year playing career for the Warriors. He is pursuing a master's degree in management and leadership.
Scott started 27 games at guard for ESU as a senior and was third on the team with 64 assists and fourth with 29 steals. He played in all 28 games for the Warriors as a junior after transferring to ESU from Bloomsburg University, where he played his first two seasons.
A native of Philadelphia, Scott was a member of the All–Public League team at Engineering & Sciences High School.
"Justin brings a great deal of knowledge about the program having just completed his playing career at ESU. Justin was an outstanding leader and has all of the attributes to be an outstanding coach. I am fortunate that he has decided to pursue his graduate degree and work with the program."
