East Stroudsburg, Pa. - After winning the opening contest of two games on Friday, East Stroudsburg freshman hurler Dave Boyer earned the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division Pitcher of the Week on Monday. Boyer earned his team-leading fourth victory and went the distance in a 5-1 victory over Millersville.

Boyer from Rockaway, N.J. allowed just one earned run, scattered five singles, struck out four and did not walk a batter in the ESU (11-13) victory. The Morris Hills High grad stands 4-2 on the year in six starts and 39.1 innings. He has a solid 2.75 earned run average and has 27 strikeouts to 12 walks with opponents batting .235 against him.

The Warriors will get back to action on Tuesday afternoon when they will make up Saturday's rainout against Millersville. The teams will play two games at Shyrock baseball field at York Township Recreation Park starting at 1:00 p.m.
