NCBWA Names Butler, De Boer to North Atlantic Region All-Star Team

EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University seniors Josh Butler and Jacob De Boer have been named to the North Atlantic Region All-Star Team by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

Butler (OF) and De Boer (2B) are both members of the second team. De Boer has been named to all three major All-Region teams this year (Daktronics Inc., ABCA, NCBWA), while Butler was also an All-Region selection by the NCBWA as a junior in 2006.

Butler, De Boer and Mueller All Named All-PSAC East

EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University's three senior baseball players, who led the Warriors to their first postseason berth in 22 years, have each been named to the All-PSAC East team.

Second baseman Jacob De Boer (Wind Gap, Pa./Pen Argyl) and right fielder Josh Butler (Denver, Pa./Garden Spot) are members of the first team, while left fielder Kirk Mueller (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) is on the second team.

Baseball Leaves PSAC Tournament with 4-1 Loss to Shippensburg

SLIPPERY ROCK - Shippensburg scored two unearned runs in the first inning, and Andrew Burke backed it up with a complete game four-hitter to lead the Red Raiders to a 4-1 win over East Stroudsburg University on Friday in the PSAC Baseball Tournament.

ESU Shocks No. 1 Kutztown 9-5 in PSAC Baseball Tournament

SLIPPERY ROCK - Dave Boyer carried a no-hitter into the fifth inning and went 7 2/3 innings on the mound to lead East Stroudsburg University to a 9-5 win over Kutztown, ranked No. 1 in the nation by the College Baseball Newspaper, in the second round of the PSAC Baseball Tournament on Thursday night at Slippery Rock.
