EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University's women's basketball home opener on Monday night will kick off the winter schedule for Warriors athletics on Blue Ridge TV-13.
Live coverage of the Warriors' game with Felician begins at 7 p.m., with the replay to follow at 10:30 p.m. Blue Ridge Sports Director Bob Capasso will be alongside Bob Brittain for the call as ESU looks for its third straight victory early in the 2008-09 season.
Three basketball doubleheaders and ESU's wrestling dual with Delaware Valley will also be featured this winter.
The Warriors' PSAC East games against Bloomsburg (Wednesday, Jan. 21), Cheyney (Saturday, Jan. 24) and Shippensburg (Saturday, Feb. 14) were also selected as part of the extensive package of local high school and college sports on Blue Ridge TV-13.
The women's game against Bloomsburg will air live on Blue Ridge Digital 113 at 6 p.m. and on replay on Blue Ridge 13 at 10:30 p.m. The men's game will be live at 8 p.m. Both games of the two Saturday doubleheaders will be live at 1 and 3 p.m., with the replays available at 6 and 8 p.m.
The ESU wrestling program will host three dual matches this year, with the home opener with Delaware Valley on Thursday, Feb. 5 slated for broadcast on Blue Ridge. The match, which begins at 7 p.m., will air on tape-delay at 10:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday nights.
ESU's women's basketball program will also receive national exposure on Saturday, Jan. 17 when the Warriors travel to Shippensburg. The game will air live on the CBS College Sports Network, which is available on Blue Ridge Digital channel 204 and DirecTV channel 613.
This marks the 21st year that Blue Ridge has been in partnership with ESU athletics, which also includes all six home football games during the 2008 season and four editions of the ESU Warriors Sports Report.
