EAST STROUDSBURG - The fourth annual Warrior Athletic Club Auction raised more than $17,000 to benefit athletic scholarships at East Stroudsburg University, Director of Athletics Dr. Tom Gioglio is pleased to announce.

The total from the three-night auction, which was televised live on Blue Ridge TV-13 two weeks ago, surpasses last year's output of just over $16,000.

Included in the final amount is the winning bid of $2,250 for a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am donated by T&T Coast Auto of Sea Girt, N.J.

"We are extremely grateful for the tremendous support of the community for this year's auction," Gioglio said. "I would like to thank the local businesses who donated some outstanding items, everybody who watched the auction on Blue Ridge and bid on the items, and our coaches, student-athletes and staff at ESU who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the auction a success."

All of the money raised goes to grant-in-aid for athletic scholarships for future student-athletes at ESU, including scholarships for local high school athletes who go on to compete for the Warriors.
