Head Coach Laura DeFalco - e-mail: ldefalco@po-box.esu.edu

Laura DeFalco is in her third year as the cheerleading coach at East Stroudsburg University.

A 1999 graduate of ESU with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, DeFalco is a second grade teacher in the Stroudsburg Area School District. She has been a teacher since her graduation from ESU and holds an associates degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's degree in Reading.

DeFalco was head of the Stroudsburg High School cheerleading program grades 6th-12th for six years prior to obtaining her position at ESU.

She is certified by both the AACCA (American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Advisors) and the NCSSE (National Council Spirit Safety and Education). She holds CPR/First Aid/AED certification as well.

"Cheerleading has been a longtime passion of mine" DeFalco said. "I am very fortunate to be a part of the ESU cheerleading program and am looking forward to working another successful year with the college athletes.

"We are very excited to have Laura working with our cheerleaders," Director of Athletics Tom Gioglio said. "She brings a great level of experience and enthusiasm to help our cheerleaders energize our fans and our teams. She is a great asset for the Warriors' athletic programs."

DeFalco and her husband Ryan reside in Stroudsburg with their children Zachary (4), Vanessa (3) and Isabella (1).
