EAST STROUDSBURG - Senior cross country runner Amber Horn has been named the ABC Trophy, Inc. Athlete of the Week after winning the women's race at the Nevins Invitational on Saturday.

Horn ran the second-fastest time in the four-year history of the Nevins Invitational, completing the 5k course in 19:46. She finished 19 seconds ahead of senior Lori Johanson and helped the Warriors win their third Nevins Invitational title in four years.

Horn is one of the top distance runners in the conference, as she placed third in the 10,000 and seventh in the 5,000 last spring at the PSAC Outdoor Championships.

ESU will travel to Kutztown this weekend for the 2007 PSAC Cross Country Championships.
