EAST STROUDSBURG - Larry Pokrywa, the MVP of the 2007 PSAC Men's Soccer Championship, and Jayson Frank, a two-time first team All-PSAC East selection at linebacker, have been named the ABC Trophy, Inc. Athletes of the Week for the last two weeks at East Stroudsburg University.

Pokrywa finished the conference season with four straight 1-0 shutouts and made five saves in the PSAC championship game, a 1-0 double overtime victory over Lock Haven, to give ESU its second straight PSAC title. He led the conference with a 0.72 goals against average and was named to the Daktronics, Inc. Northeast Region second team.

Frank had 13 tackles, a sack and two blocked kicks in the fourth quarter of the Warriors' 24-23 win over Kutztown in the final game of the regular season. Frank blocked an extra point to keep the score at 23-21 after the Golden Bears took their only lead of the game, and then blocked a punt to set up the game-winning 40-yard field goal by Greg Knauss with 18 seconds left.

The ABC Trophy, Inc. Athlete of the Week is presented each week to an outstanding ESU student-athlete. The recipient is awarded a red and silver plaque commemorating their achievement.
