EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University sophomores Trina Carito and Paul Wagner are the ABC Trophy, Inc. Athletes of the Week for their PSAC championship performances last weekend at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Carito (Greenfield Township/Lakeland) scored in three individual events for the Warriors, including an effort of 37-5 3/4 to win the triple jump. She tied for fifth in the long jump and tied for sixth in the high jump, and also ran on the 4x400 relay team that placed third, along with Jasmine Johnson, Leslie Martin and Katherine Doyle.

Wagner (Titusville, N.J./Hopewell Valley) won the weight with a throw of 58-8 1/2 to break his personal best by more than six feet, and threw 15 feet further than his performance at the conference championships as a freshman.

Carito and Wagner joined Kenny Cardullo (pentathlon), Matt Gallup (pole vault) and Drew Miller (triple jump) as Warriors to win PSAC indoor championships. The men finished third for the second straight year and the women placed fifth overall.
