Junior shortstop Jennifer Veronesi (Pleasant Valley, N.Y./Arlington) had a grand slam and broke the school stolen base record last week. She had six hits for the week, including a grand slam in a win over Millersville and scored three runs. She had a stolen base against Millersville to give her 21 for the season, in 24 attempts, breaking the record set by Denise McKeown in 1990. She has already broken the ESU runs scored record (38) and home runs (seven). ESU, ranked No. 3 in the April 19 NCAA Division II Mid-Atlantic Regional poll, is 25-20 overall and 9-9 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division. The Warriors have six games remaining in the regular season, Wednesday at home with Mansfield at 2:30 p.m., Friday at home with Shippensburg at 2:30 p.m. and Saturday at Bloomsburg at 1 p.m.
