BasketballMaryellen Onofre has been named the PSAC Eastern Division Player of the Week and ABC Trophy Inc. Athlete of the Weekfollowing her outstanding performances in wins over Mansfield and Kutztown. Onofre (Athens/Athens) had game-winning baskets in both of those games and helped the Warriors to the PSAC East regular season title. She hit a long three-pointer in a 70-69 victory over Mansfield and then hit a short jumper with 10 seconds left in a 65-64 victory against Kutztown. She scored 18 points in each game and helped ESU win its first outright title since 1996. This is the second time this season she was honored. |
