Sports Information Director
Greg Knowlden is in his third year as Sports Information Director at East Stroudsburg University. He came to ESU in April 2007 and is responsible for the publicity of the school's 21 varsity sports.
Knowlden previously worked at Lafayette College, where he was a member of the Athletic Communications staff for three years, including the last two as Assistant Sports Information Director.
He began his tenure at Lafayette as the Athletic Communications Graduate Intern and was promoted to Assistant SID the following year. He served as the primary contact for 20 of the Leopards' 23 NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletic programs during his time at Lafayette, including the 2005 and 2006 Patriot League champion football teams which competed in the NCAA Playoffs both seasons.
A 2003 graduate of Grove City College with a bachelor's degree in Political Science, Knowlden earned a Master's degree in Sport Management from ESU in 2004 while he was the Sports Information Graduate Assistant.
Professionally, Knowlden is a member of CoSIDA and ECAC-SIDA. ESU has led the PSAC with 10 student-athletes named to their respective ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District II teams in each of the last two years, an honor that is nominated and voted on by CoSIDA members.
He is the regional coordinator for the Daktronics Division II men's soccer All-America program, is a member of the regional ranking committee for the National College Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), and a voting member for the Football Gazette All-Region team.
Knowlden is a native of Muncy, Pa. and resides in East Stroudsburg.
