ESU Announces 44th Annual Basketball Tournament Presented by the Lehigh Valley International Airport and North Pole Express

EAST STROUDSBURG - Koehler Fieldhouse will host the 44th Annual East Stroudsburg University Basketball Tournament presented by the Lehigh Valley International Airport and North Pole Express on Friday, Dec. 5 and Saturday, Dec. 6.

Tickets are $10 daily, but admission is free with the donation of an unwrapped present for a child ages 5 to 12 in conjunction with Dream Come True through the Lehigh Valley International Airport.

Warriors Fall 22-11 at Drexel in 2008-09 Dual Opener

PHILADELPHIA - Shane Mallory, Chris Birchler and Matt Swallow won their matches to give East Stroudsburg University an early 11-4 lead, but Drexel rallied to win the final six bouts to give head coach Jack Childs his 396th career victory in the dual match opener for both schools on Tuesday night.

EAST STROUDSBURG - Senior midfielder Janel Cleffi is the ABC Trophy, Inc. Athlete of the Week at East Stroudsburg University after helping the Warriors to the first NCAA women's soccer playoff victory in school history last weekend.

EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University freshman forward Dan Robinson has been named the PSAC East Men's Basketball Freshman of the Week after scoring 13 points in his first career game for the Warriors on Sunday.

ESU Falls 3-2 at West Chester in 2nd Round of NCAA Playoffs

WEST CHESTER - Brittany Yetter's goal in the 65th minute gave West Chester a two-goal lead and proved to be the game-winner as the Golden Rams defeated East Stroudsburg University 3-2 in the second round of the NCAA Division II women's soccer playoffs on Sunday afternoon.

WEST CHESTER - Sophomore Lindsay Foder's goal 24 seconds into the second half was the first of three goals for the Warriors in the first 15 minutes of the second period as East Stroudsburg University earned the first NCAA women's soccer playoff victory in school history with a 4-0 win over West Virginia Wesleyan on Friday afternoon at West Chester.

MILLERSVILLE - Jeremy Deighton's header 5:06 into overtime gave Slippery Rock a 1-0 win over East Stroudsburg University in the first round of the NCAA Division II men's soccer playoffs and gave the Warriors their second straight overtime loss at Millersville's Biemesderfer Stadium.

ESU Soccer Teams Both Bound for NCAA Division II Playoffs

EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University's men's and women's soccer teams were both selected to the NCAA Division II tournament field on Monday. The men will be making their 16th postseason appearance under head coach Jerry Sheska, while the women are in the NCAA playoffs for the second time in school history.
