Instant Decision Days

Our Instant Decision Days provide you the opportunity to come on-campus, complete the application process for East Stroudsburg University (ESU), and receive an admission decision on-the-spot. Complete the steps below to participate in our Instant Decision Day and begin your journey to ESU for 2014.

  1. Schedule Your Instant Decision Day Interview (Freshman and Transfer applicants) (Freshman and Transfer applicants)

    Schedule your on-campus Interview with an ESU Admission Counselor. Your interview will take approximately 15 minutes and will conclude with you receiving your admission decision! Register for one of the dates here:

  2. Online Application

    All participants must complete an application with submitted application fee prior to the Instant Decision Day. Visit to begin your application for admission.
  3. Required Documents

    Freshmen Applicants

    -Official (sealed) transcripts from current or previously attended high school must be provided by you on the day of your scheduled interview, or must be received directly from the sending institution prior to your on-campus interview.

    -Official SAT and/or ACT scores. The score report must be attached to the official transcript or sent to ESU electronically prior to your scheduled interview. Review ESU admission requirements online at

    Transfer Applicants

    -All Official (sealed) transcripts from current or previously attended college/post-secondary institutions must be provided by you on the day of your scheduled interview, or must be received directly from the sending institution prior to your on-campus interview.

    Eligible to Participate: Transfer students with a minimum of 12 completed college level credits, and a minimum combined GPA of 2.0. Please note: Nursing or Speech Pathology applicants are not able to participate. Decisions offered only to transfer students intending to enroll for spring 2014.

Registration and Confirmation

Registration is mandatory for all visitors. Please register for a date one week prior to your desired visit day to ensure enough time for a response and confirmation email, which contains the date, time, and location for your visit in addition to a parking pass. You will need to print this parking pass and display it in your car while you're at ESU. Please note: The campus tour office is closed on weekends.

Email confirmations will be delivered within 3 business days after submitting a request. Your confirmation may be delayed if registering during a major holiday reserved by ESU. In the event the date is full, you will get an email or phone call to reschedule.

Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather on the day of your tour, we highly recommend you call (570) 422-3922 and listen to the voicemail recording to verify if a tour is cancelled, especially during the winter months. Please note tours are cancelled at the discretion of the Coordinator of Campus Tours to ensure the safety of our visitors. If ESU is closed, tours are cancelled automatically. If you are unsure of the status of the university, go to Campus Alerts to verify ESU is still open.
