I have a dual major in Business Management and Communication Studies with a concentration in Public Relations. I am the Special Events chair for the Campus Activities Board (CAB), the Extracurricular Affairs chair for Student Senate, and President of Vocal Variations, as well as a student worker for Career Development. I highly recommend you to participate in as many on campus activities and clubs as you can. This will help you gain many opportunities that will benefit your future. Welcome, future Warriors and parents, to East Stroudsburg University! My name is Lian Mlodzienski and I am a commuter student from Bushkill, Pennsylvania. I am a senior double majoring in Biology and Chemistry with a concentration in Professional and Secondary Education. In addition to being an Orientation Leader, I am also a peer tutor and a part of several other clubs like the Biology Club and the Honors Student Association. Going to college can be scary, but it’s okay! A lot of people are scared at first, but as soon as they come to campus and start making friends, it is easy to call ESU home. Hello incoming students, parents, and guests! It’s my pleasure to offer you a warm welcome to East Stroudsburg University! My name is Janet Ro and I am from East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. I am a junior majoring in Nursing and I am involved in a number of activities here at the university that have influenced my college experience immensely. I am a member of the Student Faculty Conduct Board (SFCB), the Student Nurses Association of Pennsylvania (SNAP), the Middle States Committee, the Ultimate Frisbee club team, and I was involved in the Homecoming Court Fall of 2016 and raised over $500 for breast cancer awareness. These involvements have created so many opportunities to meet new people with interests similar to mine, exploit new encounters, and develop and grow as an individual and as a leader. As an Orientation Leader, I make it my mission to be able to facilitate your transition into collegiate life as much as possible and ensure your success! I cannot wait to meet you all! I am a senior majoring in Computer Science. There are a lot of resources that ESU has to offer to help propel you towards success. ESU has a very welcoming and helpful environment, from the faculty down to your fellow peers. I am heavily involved on campus; I was previously the Student Affairs Chair for the ESU Student Senate and currently help my peers construct career paths as a Career Peer for the Career Development Center, help with Web & Communication Support at Economic Development & Entrepreneurship and bring in potential Warriors by holding a Tour Guide position for the Office of Admissions. I am a sophomore majoring in Business Management with a concentration in Accounting and a minor in Communication Studies. Aside from being part of the orientation staff, I am the Treasurer of Student Senate and a member of both the Warrior Induction Planning Committee and the Commencement Speaker Committee. College is all about finding yourself, meeting new people, and creating memories that'll last a life time. That being said, make sure you take advantage of this experience! Hello all of you proud parents and amazing future Warriors! My name is Hafiz Tunis and I am from Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. I am a junior majoring in Business Management with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Political Science. I am extremely eager to be your Orientation Leader and mentor for this upcoming academic year. I am very outgoing and involved with numerous organizations right here on campus. Some of my involvements include our institution's student government (Student Senate) and I am a Brother of Delta Chi Fraternity. These are a few of the clubs & organizations ESU has to offer. Welcome future Warriors! My name is Destinee Ward and I am a junior here at East Stroudsburg University. I’m a local from East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. I was born in the city of Paterson, New Jersey. My major is Public Health with a concentration in Health Service Administration. Not only am I very proud and excited to be your Orientation Leader, but also I will be that friend and mentor to whom you can come to and talk. Outside of my academics, I am a peer educator and also a Resident Advisor and I love to be around my friends. Even though I’m an underclassman, I have learned so much. Getting involved here at ESU was the best thing that has happens to me. Being able to connect with different students and being able to learn about new people is all about the college experience. Hello incoming Warriors and Warrior parents of East Stroudsburg University! My name is Eli Johnson. I am a freshman from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania majoring in Marine Science with a minor in Studio Art. I am happily involved with a few different organizations on campus such as People Recognizing Individual Diversity in Education (P.R.I.D.E.) and the Community Board for my residence hall, Shawnee Hall. Getting involved with a lot of different campus events and organizations has significantly helped my transition here at ESU. I encourage you to get involved with as many different groups on campus as you can! Not only do you get to be involved in all the fun events that go on throughout each semester, but it also helps you to meet a variety of new people, experience a lot of new things, and be able take part in a whole new range of opportunities. Even though the first few weeks can be a bit rough, just remember that there are lots of people all around campus that are eager to help!
