Greetings my fellow incoming Warriors and parents! My name is Theresa Chey and I am currently a freshman here at East Stroudsburg University. Lebanon, located near Hershey in Pennsylvania, is my hometown. I am majoring in Business Management and minoring in Communication Studies. Currently, I am part of the Campus Activities Board (CAB). I highly recommend you to participate in as many on campus activities and clubs as you can. This will help you to meet other students, to create everlasting friendships, and will help you in the future. Don’t be shy to contact me or any other orientation leaders. Though I am an out of state student, ESU is a big part of my family and I cannot wait for you to be a part of it as well. I am currently a sophomore majoring in Early Childhood and Special Education. Outside of the classroom I am involved with RHA (Resident Hall Association), Best Buddies, CEC (Council for Exceptional Children), and also our Rugby team. Our campus holds so many great and interesting opportunities for you to discover what you really enjoy. Good day my fellow incoming students and accompanying parents. East Stroudsburg University welcomes you to its campus! My name is Marieyah Hurt, and I am a sophomore from Easton, Pennsylvania. I am double majoring in Administrative Public Health and Political Science with a focus in Pre-law. Academics are important, but college is also more than that. It is about networking, learning about yourself, experiencing different things, making lifelong friends, and developing independence and responsibility. Although the road may get rough at times, remember that nothing can stop you except you. Don’t feel inferior to new surroundings and people; use it to your advantage. Hello everyone my name is Robert DeMarco, but you can call me Bobby! I would like to welcome all parents, family, and future warriors to ESU! I am a senior from Scranton, PA with a major in Recreation Services Management. This is my second year as an Orientation Leader and I couldn’t be more excited to meet all of this year’s incoming students. I am a Resident Advisor in Lenape Hall. I am also the Public Relations chair for the Residence Hall Association and a member of the ESU Go Green committee. One piece of advice that you will hear from just about everyone is to get involved! The more time you stay out of your room and are active in clubs, organizations, sports and whatever else you get involved in, the better experience you will have here at ESU. Hello incoming East Stroudsburg University students and parents! My name is Paul D'Imperio and I am from Easton, Pennsylvania. I am a sophomore majoring in Speech-Language Pathology and Spanish. I am the head official for leagues at the recreation center, which is our intramural program here at ESU. I also belong to the National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association (NSSLHA). I encourage all of you to get involved as much as you can. East Stroudsburg University offers so many ways to get involved, so get yourself out there. Hello all you proud parents and amazing incoming students! My name is Dontel Ducksworth, born and raised in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania (I am a proud native of the Burg). I am extremely excited to not only be your orientation leader but to also be a friend and a mentor this upcoming school year. I am a junior double majoring in Musical Theatre and Acting for Theatre, Television & Film with a minor in Dance. Being the loud, outgoing free spirit that I am I got involved with the Musical Theatre Organization here on campus and the Warrior Cheerleading team. I hope you are all ready to start a new chapter of your lives. Being here at ESU can be much easier than you think. Hello, incoming students and parents my name is Luis Feliciano. I’m from Philadelphia Pennsylvania I’m a sophomore theatre major with a concentration in TV film and directing. I’m involved with MTO (Musical Theatre Organization) which holds a cabaret each year and sings for the community throughout the semester. I am also involved with Stage II, which produces student run plays. I work as a front desk receptionist at the University Center’s information desk. There are so many different opportunities to get involved on campus and get your name out there so that people know who you are. I look forward to meeting all of you. My name is Taylor Gardner; I am a sophomore with a dual major in Special Education and Early Childhood Education, with a minor in Spanish. I also work at the Campus Police Station. I am from Staten Island, NY. First, let me say that entering college-- although exciting-- can be a little overwhelming. My first few weeks on campus were a little nerve racking to say the least, but after meeting new students and learning from upper classman, I gained confidence and felt at ease rather quickly. I am here to help you and make your transition as smooth as possible. There are many opportunities for you to meet new people, find your interests and enjoy your time here at ESU. I am a freshman majoring in Hotel Tourism Management with a concentration in Tourism. Even as a freshman, I was able to get involved right away. I am in the hotel tourism club, a member of African American Heritage Month Committee and my biggest commitment and involvement at ESU has been being a student senator on Student Senate here on campus. Being involved in those things has allowed me to jump right into the college experience and helped me meet so many new people. Joining clubs and getting involved on campus right away definitely helps as an incoming student. I am a junior, majoring in Communication Studies with double minors in Political Science and Philosophy. Apart from being an orientation leader, I am very involved on our campus during the academic year. I am currently the President of Student Senate – the governing body of all student clubs and organizations here at ESU, which I have been involved with the past 3 years. I am also a Campus Tour Guide. This university has provided me with a number of opportunities to impact my classmates on a very personal level and has allowed me to grow as an individual. Hello parents and incoming students and welcome to East Stroudsburg University! My name is Rachael Kandel and I am from Scranton, PA. I am a freshman majoring in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management with a minor in Spanish. As a new student it can be quite intimidating starting a whole new experience. This is why I am here to help you through all of it. As a new student getting involved with campus activities, clubs, etc. will help ease your transition into ESU. I am a member of the University Choir, the A Cappella group, and the Jazz Ensemble. I am also a member of the Hotel and Restaurant Club and I have served as a floor representative for Linden Hall. Lastly, I am a member of the Career Path Program for the College of Business and Management to help students get on the right path for graduation. Hello new East Stroudsburg University Warriors! My name is Keisha Kauffman, and I am from Hillsborough, New Jersey. I am a sophomore double majoring in Criminal Justice and Political Science with a concentration in Pre law and a minor in English. I am a member of the Warrior Cheerleading Team. I am also active as a member of Warrior Elite, which is the student ambassador program here at ESU. The cheerleader in me is always excited to show my school spirit, so you will catch me at almost all sporting events cheering on our warriors. If there is one thing that I have learned here, it is to take advantage of all opportunities that are provided to you. It may be nerve racking at first, but once you start to make friends and build connections, it will truly start to feel like home. I am a proud member and senator of ESU’s Student Senate, an organization that outstandingly represents the University’s student body as a whole. Welcome, future Warriors and parents, to East Stroudsburg University! My name is Lian Mlodzienski and I am a commuter student from Bushkill, Pennsylvania. I am a sophomore double majoring in Biology and Chemistry with a concentration in Professional and Secondary Education. In addition to being an Orientation Leader, I am also a peer tutor and a part of several other clubs like the Biology Club and the Marine Science Club. Going to college can be scary, but it’s okay! A lot of people are scared at first, but as soon as they come to campus and start making friends, it is easy to call ESU home. The more you get involved, the more friends you’ll make! ESU has many notable programs to offer and the campus has so much to provide in regards to getting involved on and off campus. I started my college experience by getting involved with many activities and associations; I am a member of ESU’s senate, which is an organization of students dedicated to helping the student body and improve the campus as much as possible. I am also affiliated with Campus Activities Board (CAB), which specializes with special events on campus. Last, but definitely not least, I am a member of the Student Faculty Conduct Board. Hello, incoming students and parents of East Stroudsburg University! My name is Kelley Anne Stuetz and I am from Glenside, Pennsylvania. I am a sophomore majoring in Digital Media Technologies with a minor in Communications. I am involved with the Christian Fellowship, Fellowship for Christian Athletes, the East Stroudsburg Presbyterian Church and the East Stroudsburg track and field team. I am also the sideline reporter for the East Stroudsburg Football team. These organizations have introduced me to a variety of different people and many of whom are my close friends. Getting involved on campus is a great way to get to know people and make connections on and off campus. My advice for incoming students is to stay organized and focused on your goals for the semester. I encourage each of you to be open-minded during your new experiences here at ESU. Hello parents and students, welcome to East Stroudsburg University. My name is Destiny Washington, and I am a sophomore majoring in Musical Theatre with a Minor in dance. I am from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and I am currently involved in Christian Fellowship, Explosion Step Team, performing at basketball games, spirit day events and more. Also I am a member of the Voices of Triumph Gospel choir, Musical Theatre Organization, and Stage II. I have been involved in two main stage productions at ESU: "The Wizard of Oz" and " Suessical the Musical." I have also been in a student written, directed, and produced show called " Strangers". There are so many things to get involved with here at ESU, so don't be afraid to put yourself out there by joining clubs and organizations. I am currently a freshman majoring in Computer Science. There are a lot of resources that ESU has to offer to help propel you towards success. ESU has a very welcoming and helpful environment from the faculty down to your fellow peers. I am heavily involved on campus serving as a student senator for the ESU student government, helping my peers construct career paths working as a career peer for the Career Development Center, and bringing in potential warriors holding a tour guide position for the Office of Admissions.
