Congratulations on your acceptance to East Stroudsburg University!

The acceptance packet you received from us contains very important information including the deadline dates to submit your deposits. Please be sure to read all the materials sent to you as they will answer many of your questions, we've also included some FAQ's below for you to review.

When is the Deposit Deadline?

Spring
FRESHMAN and TRANSFERS: 3 weeks from the date of your official acceptance letter (sent via US mail).
Fall
FRESHMAN: May 1
TRANSFERS: May 1, or 3 weeks from the date of your official acceptance letter (whichever is later).

When Will I Receive On-Campus housing Information?

FRESHMEN: After you submit your advanced registration deposit you will receive housing information including a housing form. Please be sure to submit this form along with your $150 deposit(Spring) or $200 deposit(Fall) by the date specified in your packet. All housing assignment requests are due by June 1. No roommate requests can be accommodated after this date. Housing assignments are mailed on July 23—if you do not receive yours by August please contact the Housing Office at 570-422-3460.

TRANSFER: We do offer on-campus housing for transfer students but on a first-come, first-served basis. The first 100 accepted fall transfer students will be guaranteed on-campus housing. For on-campus accommodation, complete the housing request form included in your acceptance packet. Assignments are made starting in May and continue until all spaces are filled. You may also inquire about housing information from the University Ridge Apartments (570-422-2400). EARLY START PROGRAM: This program begins in early July with a mandatory four-week summer session. If you have been accepted into the Early Start Program, you are required to successfully complete two courses that will satisfy 6 credits towards your selected degree program and these course options will soon be viewable online. This program is limited to the first 100 students who submit the Advance Registration Deposit (ARD). More details will be provided here as available and forwarded to you upon submitting your ARD.

When Will I Receive Information About Orientation?

(For students who have paid their $175 Advance Registration Deposit (ARD)

SPRING: New-Student Orientation will take place on Sunday, January 27, 2013, 8 AM – 12 Noon. Students can check-In at Hoeffner Science & Technology Center Lobby. New students entering ESU in January 2013, register here: https://secure.vzorientation.com/ESU. If you will be living on-campus, you may move into the residence halls starting at 12 Noon.

FALL: Orientation materials will be mailed in April. They will ONLY be mailed to accepted students who have submitted their advanced registration deposits. To register for orientation, please remember your $175 deposit needs to be paid.

When will I schedule classes?

You must pay your advanced registration deposit before you can register or be registered for classes.

TRANSFER: Registration for Fall begins in late April. If you do not receive your registration information by then, contact the Center for Enrollment Services at 570-422-2800. You should take your transfer credit evaluation with you when meeting with your academic advisor to schedule classes. You will have been mailed an official acceptance packet to the address you provided on your application with important next steps after submitting your ARD.

What do I need to know about Financial Aid?

  • Be sure to list ESU as your school choice (our code is 003320) on your 2012-2013 FAFSA form(fafsa.gov).

Extra Information for Transfer Students:

  • Be sure to submit official final transcripts from all colleges attended, including your final spring grades so that they can be posted to your transfer credit evaluation.
  • Also needed is your final high school transcript or GED results certificate/official score report.
  • Any questions on the evaluation of course equivalencies should be directed to the Office of Enrollment Services at 570-422-2861.
