Each year more than 700 students choose to transfer to ESU to complete their degree programs. They quickly become part of the ESU community. If you are thinking of becoming part of the ESU community as a transfer student, please use the information below to help you in your transfer decision process.

When to Apply
Spring 2009 - Deadline November 15, 2008
- Transfer applicants are urged to apply between September 1 and November 1 for spring semester (January) admission;
- All application materials must be postmarked by November 15.
- Applications or completed application materials such as transcripts, and/or SAT/ACT scores postmarked after November 15 will not be considered.
Fall 2009 - Deadline May 1, 2009
- Transfer applicants applying for the fall semester (September) are encouraged to apply between December 1 and April 1.
- All application materials must be postmarked by May 1.
- Applications or completed application materials such as transcripts, and/or SAT/ACT scores postmarked after May 1 will not be considered.
Required Transfer Application Materials:
- Application form (paper or on-line)
- $35 Application Fee.
- Official transcript(s) from all colleges and universities attended.
- Official high school transcript. (required for all transfer students entering without a bachelor's degree).
Notification of Admission Transfer applicants are notified within three weeks of completed application, but no sooner than October 5, 2008 for spring 2009 admission and February 1, 2009, for fall 2009 admission.
Transfer Student Housing On-campus housing is limited for transfer students. Therefore, all transfer students are admitted as commuter students. Students interested in securing on-campus housing will be placed on a wait-list provided the student completes and returns the 'Housing Request' form enclosed with the offer of admission. The Office of Residence Life and Housing will review the wait-list and contact students as openings occur.
