Applicants should begin the application process several months in advance of the semester they want to enroll. Remember to allow adequate time for mailing correspondence.

Application Deadlines are as follows:
Spring 2008 semester: November 1, 2007
Fall 2008 semester: March 1, 2008

All applicants must have their complete academic records (transcripts, mark sheets, certificates) evaluated by one of the following professional credential evaluating services: WORLD EDUCATION SERVICES (WES) or EDUCATIONAL CREDENTIAL EVALUATORS, INC. (ECE)

Select the "Document-by-Document" (WES) or "General" (ECE) report if you are applying as a freshman. Note: If you are a graduate of a US secondary school you do not need to have a WES or ECE evaluation for your secondary school report. Simply have an official transcript sent to the ESU Office of Admission directly from your school.

Select the "Course-by-Course" report if you are applying as a transfer. Note: If you are applying as a transfer student and all universities you have attended are US institutions of higher education, you do not need to have a WES or ECE evaluation done for your university report. Simply have an official transcript sent to the ESU Office of Admission directly from each US institution you have attended. However, you must have WES or ECE submit a "Document-by-Document" or "General" report for your secondary school record (unless, you are a graduate of a US secondary school).

When the evaluation is completed, WES or ECE will forward the results to the East Stroudsburg University Office of Admission on your behalf. In addition, we require you to submit copies of the same items (transcripts, mark sheets, certificates) in the original language and an English translation to the Office of Admission. When we have received the WES or ECE evaluation as well as your copies, we will process your application for admission.

For non-native speakers of English we also require official scores of the TOEFL for undergraduate admission.

In order to receive the I-20 document (required to apply for your F-1 student visa), you must be admitted to the degree program AND have your Financial Disclosure Form, Statement of Support, Summary of Educational Expenses and current copies of bank statement(s) approved by East Stroudsburg University's Director of International Programs. An I-20 WILL NOT BE ISSUED prior to receiving and reviewing the required documents listed above.
