The priority deadline for receipt of completed applications is March 1, 2008; applications will be accepted until April 2, 2008.
If you wish to apply for Spring 2008 (January), contact the Office of Admission before completing the application. Freshman admission to the Spring semester is usually limited to applicants from the local area who plan to commute from their homes. On-campus housing may not be available.
Completed Application
A completed application consists of the application form, $35 application fee, official high school transcript, and SAT-I (or ACT) scores. Optional items include a personal statement and letters of recommendation, which are strongly encouraged.
Students who have received a high school diploma based on results of the GED (Test of General Educational Development) must ensure that a official copy of the Results Certificate from the state of issue is submitted directly to the Office of Admission. Click here to find your state's GED contact.
If applying on-line you can submit the application form and personal statement on-line, but your high school transcript, SAT (or ACT) scores, and letters of recommendation must still be mailed directly to the Office of Admission by your guidance counselor.
Personal InterviewESU doesn't require an interview, but we suggest that you join us for an Admission Presentation and/or tour of campus. See the campus visit schedule for information about these presentations and tours. It's also a good idea to meet with a faculty member from the academic department you wish to join.
If you haven't scheduled a visit you should do so at this point. The best way to see the ESU campus, faculty, and facilities is to come and see them for yourself.

You can expect to hear from us regarding a decision about March 1, 2008 if you are applying for Fall 2008 admission. However, depending upon the competitiveness of your application, you may be notified as early as November 1, 2007. In most cases, we like to have the results of your first and/or second marking period grades from your senior year before we make our decision. We also prefer to see the results of your senior year SAT (or ACT) tests.
